Bell & Olander Accounting Professionals, Inc.'s mission is to help our clients create a strong financial foundation that will add value and worth to their organization.  We strive to accomplish this by utilizing sound accounting practices to accurately record financial transactions and by implementing user-friendly tools to monitor, measure, and improve their financial progress.  Our strength comes from our education, knowledge, experience, and dedication.

Our vision is to have a healthy, successful company reputable in providing quality accounting services at reasonable rates; to build a loyal client base and excellent partnerships with other local accountants and CPA firms.  As we grow we wish to play a significant role in strengthening our local business community.   

 

Company Founders

Deborah Olander grew up in Savannah, Georgia.  She attended college at Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  Upon graduation, Debbie worked for many years as an internal accountant in private industry handling the day-to-day financial operations of the company.   In 2001, Debbie moved to Asheville and worked as a CPA for a mid-sized local public accounting firm with duties primarily focused on preparing both business and individual tax returns and conducting audits for local small businesses, governments, and non-profits.  Debbie left the firm and started her own accounting business in 2006.  This business has continued to grow and in 2009 Courtney Bell joined the firm and, thus, became Bell & Olander Accounting Professionals, Inc.  Debbie has more than fifteen years of professional accounting experience.       

Courtney Bell is a native of Asheville, North Carolina.  She attended college at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  She began her career working as a Staff Accountant for a mid-sized local CPA firm with duties primarily focused on preparing both business and individual tax returns and conducting audits for local businesses.  In recent years, she has worked as a Financial Analyst for a large publicly held corporation.  In this capacity she performed tasks related to: the monthly and annual general ledger closing; reporting and review of the company’s monthly profit and loss to management; reporting of budget and actual financial data to company headquarters; annual and interim budgeting and forecasting process; and providing ad-hoc reports for internal management use.  Courtney has over eight years of professional accounting experience. 

The combined education and experience, both personal and professional, have allowed Debbie and Courtney to develop vital skills necessary in providing high level accounting services with dependable quality to various types of small businesses.
